Daniel's Torchworked Glass (Under Construction) This site is an archive of torchworked beads and marbles I have made. Beads that appear to be strung are not meant to be pieces of jewelry but rather are just a convenient way to keep together beads made during a particular work session. Beads are sold individually ... not as sets or strands. After site construction is complete it will be possible to purchase items via this site. Until then contact me at DanielsTorchworkedGlass@lipkie.com . Member:

Definition: "Splat" : a dot with a stringer tail or a dot with a "bad hair day". Usually beads are made with perfectly shaped dots. A splat is a dot that didn't want to conform. When you put the dot on hot you pull it so that is has "a bad hair day". A use of splats - let the hair/tail intertwine, melt them together and presto ... a string of spalts.
